DESCRIPTION:Hi dear friends\,\n\nAs some of you know ‘Abdu’l-Baha visited Greytowers in the Poconos in Milford PA on June 3\, 1912.  Coincidently\, Greytowers is having a nice event on that same day this year (No connection).  Its a free picnic on the grounds with various 19th century crafts being demonstrated and music.  They suggest that you RSVP if you are coming. Another event on the same day is a special “Tea” on the hour – but that is not free and you have to reserve a spot.\n\nI plan to be there for the picnic and the tea – bring a blanket and picnic food and rsvp them as well.\n\nTo reiterate: – the all day picnic is free and the “tea” is not.  In both cases you have to RSVP.\n\nHere is the proper link to the event:\n\nhttps://greytowers.org/event/pinchot-lawn-picnic/\n\nHope to see you there!\nLaura\n\n\nPinchot Lawn Picnic\n\nJune 3\, 2023\n12:00 pm – 4:00 pm\n\n\nFree Event / Registration Required\n\n\nFREE\n\n\nThe spirit of an early 20th century’s formal picnic on the grounds of Grey Towers.\nGTHA invites everyone to bring their family and friends to the great lawn at Grey Towers National Historic Site with their own picnic spread. The best-themed picnics and guest attire will win prizes!! \nEnjoy Ronny Whyte and Amy London along with their bands performing the Great American Songbook while watching artists work at “lost arts” such as spinning\, weaving\, lacemaking\, quilting\, and whittling. There will be a falconry exhibit and flight demonstrations! We will also be offering old-fashioned children’s games\, watercolor painting lessons\, and home movies of Pinchot lawn parties of the past. \nCotton candy\, ices\, and popcorn as well as brown bag lunches will be available to purchase. \nThis event is free but please register your interest in attending below so we can be prepared for all of you.\nAdditionally\, TEA with the PINCHOTS tickets are available for purchase\, for special mansion tours between 12-2 pm where you will be met by the Pinchot family and their guests (actors) and enjoy light refreshments!
