DESCRIPTION:Dear friends\,\nWe are forwarding this email regarding the Young Adult Weekend (ages 18-early30’s) being held February 17-20 in Creston California.  If you know anyone in that age range who would like to attend please provide them with this information. \n\n\nMany thanks\,  Moira Padfield for the LSA of Bethlehem Township \n\n\nRegistration for the seventh Young Adult Weekend\, a three-day event\, is now open.\n \nIt will be held from February 17 – 20\, 2023 at Granite Ridge Retreat Center and is sponsored by the Menlo Park LSA.\n\n\n\n“If a small number of people gather lovingly together\, with absolute purity and sanctity\, with their hearts free of the world\, experiencing the emotions of the Kingdom and the powerful magnetic forces of the Divine\, and being at one in their happy fellowship\, that gathering will exert its influence over all the earth.” – ‘Abdu’l-Bahá\n\n\nAbout Young Adult Weekend\n\n\nYoung Adult Weekend’s mission is “to strengthen bonds of fellowship through the love of Bahá’u’lláh and to empower young people to achieve material and spiritual excellence.” \nFor 6 years\, ~80-100 annual attendees from across North America and beyond have come together in joy and radiance\, developing lasting bonds of friendship and heightening their collective understanding of what it means “to live a coherent life and be an agent of spiritual and social transformation” (Universal House of Justice\, 5th December 2013). \n\n\n\n\nThe Program\n \n\nIn service of this goal\, we’re putting together a program that we’re incredibly excited about centered on three core elements: a speaker series\, interactive workshops and activities\, and fellowship in beautiful\, natural surroundings. \nWe’ve had a diverse array of Bahá’í professionals present and lead sessions over the years\, including Shane Tedjarati\, Holiday Reinhorn\, Dan Makoski\, Niki de Leon\, Rainn Wilson\, Dr. Nasrin Bashiri\, and Justin Baldoni among many others. \n  \nTo get a flavor for the spirit of the event\, please watch this short film from 2017 and this one from 2016.\n\n\n \n\nHow to Register\n\n\nComplete our registration form.\nPay our PayPal $235 (winter cabin) or $155 (dorm-style cabin).\n\nUse the “paying a friend” option\, as YAW is a not-for-profit event.\nYou can apply for a need-based scholarship.\n\n\nReceive a confirmation email (usually within a few days).\n\nThe event has generally sold out far in advance. Register soon to secure your spot!\n\n\n\nWe heard your feedback and booked a much nicer venue this year. It costs a lot more. Thankfully\, generous individuals have enabled us to heavily subsidize\, making it around the same price or even less than it was last year.
