Dear Friends,

At a recent Bahai community gathering we consulted about holding a local Fundraising event. It was agreed that having a Fundraiser for the National Fund which honors our loved ones who have passed to the next world would be a fitting tribute. In the writings we are exhorted to pray and do pure deeds in memory of those who have passed from this physical realm into the Abha Kingdom. These deeds and contributions not only offer us comfort but also aid the advancement of their souls.

With this in mind, on Saturday January 3, a potluck luncheon will be held at the home of Roseann Bowerman at noon. We will gather joyfully to share prayers and stories of those we wish to honor. Bring photos if you wish.

 

 Contributions can be made by check written out to the National Bahai Fund or if you prefer to contribute through the online contribution system you can inform Shirin Khalighi, our local LSA treasurer of the amount of your contribution so that we can keep a tally of the amount raised by this event. Please put your Bahai ID number on the check and a note regarding who you wish to memorialize.

Please be advised that anyone you wish to honor, whether Bahai or not, can be  memorialized by this gift. As you know only Bahai’s can contribute to the Bahai Funds but certainly spouses of Baha’is are welcome to attend.
