Hong and I are happy, and honored, to host the coming Feast of Jamal/Beauty on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at our home. This will be an in person Feast only, there will be no Zoom option.   We warmly invite you to come and join us.

Dinner will be served after the program.  We ask that you let us know if you are coming, via email:  siewkian2003@yahoo.com.  The reason is so that I can estimate the quantity of food I need to prepare.  Thank you!

 

  Beauty

 It is natural for the heart and spirit to take pleasure and enjoyment in all things

            that show forth symmetry, harmony, and perfection. For instance: a beautiful house,

            a well-designed garden, a symmetrical line, a graceful motion, a well written book,
           pleasing garments.  All things that have in themselves grace or beauty are pleasing

            to the heart and spirit.  What is music? It is a combination of harmonious sounds.

            What is poetry? It is a symmetrical collection of words. Therefore, they are pleasing        
             through harmony and rhythm. Poetry is much more effective and complete than prose.

            It stirs more deeply, for it is of a finer composition.
