DEVOTIONAL GATHERINGS
Bahá'ís delight is worship gatherings, sharing with people of all faiths the joy of praising and remembering God in a spirit of unity and fellowship. Participants are invited to share prayers, sacred readings, poetry and music in an informal, uplifting atmosphere. These devotional meetings are often hosted by individuals in their homes or held at more public places such as Little Pond Retreat Center.
STUDY CIRCLES FOR ADULTS AND YOUTH
Adults and older youth gather to study and discuss spiritual
themes. One of the series of materials which the community periodically explores is entitled the Ruhi Course materials. The first book in the series is entitled Reflections on the Life of the Spirit. This book focuses on universal spiritual values, the power of prayer, and the spiritual life we live after departing from this world. These study circles are conducted regularly and are a good way to learn in more depth the teachings of the Bahá’í Faith.
INFORMAL INTRODUCTORY MEETINGS
Members of the Bahá’í community of the Lehigh Valley have a regular schedule of gatherings, sometimes referred to as fireside meetings, which provide a comfortable open setting for asking questions and learning more about the Bahá’í Faith for oneself. Check the calendar for dates, then contact the host or call the Bahá’í phone for more information. These are a great way to start your information search and get some introductory literature in a very informal, enjoyable fashion. Interesting conversation and a warm cup of tea sure to be available!
